BHA Goes Smoke Free

Please take the opportunity to check out the article on smoke-free BHA housing at http://www.bostonhousing.org/pdfs/BHA%20sends%20final%20notice%20on%20smoke-free%20housing%20release.pdf.  EBNASA was one of the organizations that contributed to this remarkable effort.  Good job!

EBNASA meeting postponed

The monthly EBNASA meeting has been postponed.

Adrian Madaro posted on East Boston Neighborhood Against Substance Abuse (EBNASA)’s timeline
“State Senator Anthony Petruccelli, State Representative Carlo Basile, City Councilor Sal LaMattina and the Boston Police Department will be hosting a community meeting next Thursday, October 4th, 6:30pm at the East Boston High School auditorium. They intend to address the recent increase in crime throughout the neighborhood and to respond to your questions and concerns. The community is understandably upset with crime reports over the last few weeks and the purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity to learn more about what has happened and what is being done to address the problem. Please pass this on to neighbors, family, and friends. The better informed we are as a community, the stronger we are. Thank you.”

In light of this information we believe it is important to focus attention on this issue and learn more about what is happening in East Boston. Our coalition meeting will be scheduled for a later date.
